Neale invited us, and his two awesome dogs, Doc and Clover, for a walk along the lake
Neale is 36 years old and lives in Cleveland, OH. He is an athlete, a chef, and an avid traveler. He is also an entrepreneur multiple times over — he runs his own insurance company, and recently started a group called Stroke Fit Inc, which is an organization that connects with recent stroke survivors to help them navigate the recovery process and live their most active lives.

Given all of that, it’s not surprising that Neale’s motto is “Be 100%.” For him, this means focusing on your physical and mental health, as well as on diet and nutrition. It means taking control of your recovery and always trying to give a little more. This mindset is very personal — it’s about knowing what your own version of 100% is and striving toward that. Everyone is different so it’s about defining what “Be 100%” means for you and setting goals accordingly.

Neale had his stroke a few days before his 32nd birthday. Right after his stroke he lost all motor function on his left side, but after years of dedication and hard work, today he is extremely active. Neale is an avid pickleball player, and loves to play frisbee (he played soccer and ultimate frisbee in college). He loves to travel with his wife (next stop: Italy!), and loves to walk his two dogs, Doc and Clover.

Neale’s Goal:
Neale loves Functional Electrical Stimulation and feels that the unique design of the Neural Sleeve is the most effective FES he has experienced. He is hopeful that he can reduce spasticity and jog again, at which point he feels that there is unlimited potential for his mobility!
