We’re excited to share that the CIONIC team is growing! Each new addition to our team brings a unique set of skills, experience, and education, all of which contribute to our company culture and mission to superpower human mobility. Today, we’re excited to introduce one of our newest team members, Kelsie!

Can you introduce yourself and share a bit about your background and experience?

Hi! I’m Kelsie. I’m from the greater-Seattle area and am excited to be joining the CIONIC team. I have a bachelor of science in Kinesiology from Washington State University and have worked in a variety of clinical and private settings.

I’ve had experience with cardiac rehab, inpatient therapies, and exercise testing. Most recently, worked as a coordinator for a lifestyle change program.

Each of these experiences has grown my passion for helping connect people with movement to allow them to accomplish more than they ever thought possible.

What is your role at CIONIC?

I’m the newest Customer Champion at CIONIC! My role is to be an advocate for our customers and help them get the most out of their sleeves. This includes following up when customers have a question or need help troubleshooting their sleeve.

What attracted you to this role and our company?

I was attracted to CIONIC because of its commitment to an important mission. I love that CIONIC is sparking much-needed change in the realm of adaptive equipment and utilizing tech to do so. I was specifically interested in the Customer Champion role because I find helping people solve challenges incredibly rewarding and I want to be an advocate for CIONIC’s population.

How would you describe your role and responsibilities at CIONIC?

My role at CIONIC is to be an advocate for our customers. I’m passionate about ensuring that we are doing the best that we can for them as a business. My responsibilities are primarily focused on communicating with customers to get them answers to any questions that they may have and help clarify any steps along their journey.

What are your goals and objectives in this position?

My primary goal as a customer champion is to help at least one person every day. I would love to help continue to streamline the customer journey and ensure that it is the best possible experience for everyone.

I think what CIONIC is doing is incredible, and I am committed to helping them reach an even greater audience by working to clarify whatever aspects of the neural sleeve that I can.

Can you walk us through a typical day or week in your role?

A typical day in my role involves a lot of communication! I start my day off by checking through any support emails that have come through overnight and responding to each inquiry. Throughout the day, I interact with our customers and potential customers over the phone and through email to help them make informed decisions and clarify the ordering process.

My favorite part of the day is when I find that the answers I’ve shared with someone have helped them make the best decision for themselves. Throughout the week, we have weekly check-ins with the team to keep working on improving our processes and providing the best experience that we can. These meetings are typically dense with information, but a great opportunity to connect with the team!

What do you find most exciting or challenging about your work?

The most exciting aspect of my work is connecting with someone, hearing their story, and then finding out that the sleeve has been a success for them later on! Although I interact with many people each day, these stories stand out to me and inspire me to keep working through our inquiries. My goal is always to help those that can benefit from the sleeve to gain access to it as smoothly as possible!

What do you enjoy most about working at CIONIC so far?

So far, I’m really enjoying connecting with our users to learn more about how they are or how they’re planning to use the sleeve. Additionally, I’m enjoying the inspiration that comes with being on a team of innovative people!

Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?

Outside of work, you can find me outside! My main hobbies include mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking. I have a huge interest in horticulture so if I’m not on a mountain, I’m likely in my garden.
