What is your role at CIONIC?

Mobility Specialist

Can you introduce yourself and share a bit about your background and experience?

Hi! I’m Jenny 🙂 Though I’m originally from California, I currently live in South Carolina with my husband, daughter, one dog, and two cats. My background is in physical therapy with a focus on both orthopedic and neurological populations and I have a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. I started my physical therapy career at Rancho Los Amigos, known as one of the top institutions for gait research. This is where I first developed a passion for neurological rehabilitation and gait, which has continued throughout my career. Recently, I have been working towards improving my data analytics and technology skills, which are very helpful in my new position here at CIONIC.

What attracted you to this role and our company?

My main career focus has always been centered around helping people. I am so impressed with the Neural Sleeve technology and its ability to give individuals an improved quality of life through increased mobility.

I could tell that the heart of this company is genuine care for others. Also, my knowledge of gait mechanics and experience with individuals who have neurological conditions are helpful as a Mobility Specialist.

How would you describe your role and responsibilities at CIONIC?

As a Mobility Specialist, I help people get set up with the Neural Sleeve and answer questions about the sleeve and our technology. I conduct onboarding and follow-up appointments so that each person has a chance to be successful with the Neural Sleeve.

What are your goals and objectives in this position?

My main goal is to help as many people as possible! Watching someone’s ability to improve their quality of life through increased mobility and an improved gait pattern can be so rewarding for all involved. It really motivates me to help as many people as I can.

Can you walk us through a typical day or week in your role?

The majority of my week involves virtually meeting with users of the Neural Sleeve for either their initial set-up appointment or any follow-ups. These visits include helping get set up with the sleeve and the app and answering any questions they may have. I also am involved in company meetings and general customer support.

What do you find most exciting or challenging about your work?

The intersection of technology and human movement is so intriguing to me, and CIONIC is at the forefront of that. I also enjoy the challenge of tailoring the Neural Sleeve to each individual’s experience to ensure the best possible outcome.

What do you enjoy most about working at CIONIC so far?

The people here are great! Each individual has been very warm and welcoming, extremely knowledgeable about their area of expertise, and also passionate about the mission of CIONIC.

Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?

I enjoy exploring my local area with my family and friends, whether it’s going to a park or the beach, or even historic aspects of Charleston, SC. I also love to travel. Lately, my favorite places to visit have been the Blue Ridge Mountains and Costa Rica.
